Mentor Llunji is a practicing structural engineer with over 20 years of professional experience. He has served as an expert consultant, lead structural engineer, and peer reviewer on more than 500 projects worldwide.
He is the author of several books, including the acclaimed Seismic Architecture, a comprehensive work on the role of architecture in earthquake-resistant design; Towards a New Engineering, which offers a critical perspective on the structural engineering profession-its past, present, and future; as well as his latest book, Reflections on Seismic Design, which provides the author’s perspective on modern seismic design philosophy, offering a critical view of seismic codes, the educational system, digital tools, and the profession itself. The book was inspired by, and is dedicated to, the victims of the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes of 2023.
